He is making another Stanley at home and sending it to the White House with a letter to the Obamas. If he gets it back with anything exciting written in the little journal then we'll send it to school. Since they are only doing two at school, I wanted him to send those to someone who will surely send them back. The Obamas... likely not a guarantee, but a penny in the wishing well! Worth the stamp to send it anyway - he did hear back from Olivia Newton-John, John Travolta and Jimmy Kleinsasser when he wrote to them. So far he's got decent luck. Will let you know if he hears back from D.C.!

Flat Stanley Goes to D.C.
Isaiah is doing a Flat Stanley project at school - he is making a couple of Stanleys and sending them to two friends. One is going to his cousins in fabulous Alaska, while the other is going to my friend Jenn in the U.K. Fun trips ahead!! We are excited for the school to get them sent off, so that Stanley can start his vacation and we hear fun things back about it.

What a fun idea. I never heard of Flat Stanley before, but I have been looking for a "pen pal" project for Gilbert to do with his cousins. I am dying to see if you hear back from the White House!!
